Alcohol Rehab & Recovery
Understanding Alcohol Use Disorder
Alcohol use is part of everyday life in Australia and features strongly in our social activities. Many Australians drink more than the current recommendations of 10 standard drinks a week without undue consequences. However, when drinking reaches harmful levels, it can lead to increased risk of injury, chronic disease and premature death.
Alcohol use disorder (alcoholism) or addictive levels occur when you lose control of your ability to curb your drinking, when you drink compulsively, or drink despite harmful consequences. Alcohol use disorder is a chronically relapsing condition, and if you have reached this point, you’ll need support to detox and reset, and on-going support to help manage your risk of relapse.
Our goal is to provide the best chance of recovery with a full detox and trauma-informed, evidence-based, one-on-one therapy. We also review your diet, and tailor fitness, and energetic and therapies informed by neuroscience for the most comprehensive, personalised treatment plan available, followed by ongoing support.
No Two Individuals are the Same
Nobody sets out to become an alcoholic. Some people slip gradually into problematic drinking with ever-increasing quantities. Some people don’t drink during the week, but binge until they blackout at the weekends. Some people are so elevated after their first sip of alcohol, their body simply craves it. Some people drink to numb the pain. There are numerous underlying factors, and we work hard to address what lies beneath.
That’s why each treatment plan is personalised and tailored to meet your unique needs. Our approach focuses on understanding the specific challenges you face and creating a recovery strategy that helps you restore balance and achieve long-term well-being.
